2-Minute Tuesdays

Trying out for next year’s Reindeer Team? We have some tips!

Welcome back to this week’s edition of 2-Minute Tuesdays where we are talking about one exercise topic for two minutes and giving you three reasons why you should follow our advice.  Now this week, we are talking to those of you who are going to be trying out for Santa’s reindeer team. What things do you need to do with your workouts over the next 12 months to optimize your performance and make sure you can help the big guy deliver the presents next Christmas?

1) Make Sure Your Muscles Are Working With MAT®

Tip Number One If You Are Trying Out For Santa’s Reindeer Team – You are going to want to make sure all of your muscles are working well, so find a trusted Muscle Activation Techniques® specialist that you can go to.  MAT® is designed to find muscles that are not helping you when you are trying to exert yourself or perform. MAT® will help you activate those muscles and use all available muscles.

2) Do At Least 2 Days/Week of Resistance Training

Tip Number Two If You Are Trying Out For Santa’s Reindeer Team – Get at least two days of resistance training in each week.  Pulling the sled and moving around the gifts is a lot of work, so you have to make sure that not only are your muscles turned on, but they are strong and can handle the workload as well.  Getting at least two days of resistance training in each week will do wonders to help you make the Reindeer Team.

3) Get Adequate Rest Between Your Workouts

Tip Number Three If You Are Trying Out For Santa’s Reindeer Team – Make sure you get adequate rest and recovery between your workout bouts.  When you exercise, you exercise for the results, which happen when you are resting and recovering. So, between your workouts, make sure you have 24 to 48 hours of rest time so your body can recover and get the results you desire.
