What You Need To Know About Exercising For A Healthier Brain

One of the most exciting topics around exercise is how beneficial it is for your brain.

From helping your brain regrow areas that naturally shrink with age; to improving memory, creativity, decision making, and more; to warding off multiple forms of dementia; exercise truly is a powerful elixir for having a healthy and high-functioning brain.

In fact, we detailed out exactly how exercise improves all of these aspects of brain health in chapter 5 of our book The Exercise For Life Method as well as within the Brain Health Secrets course, both of which you can access when you order a free copy of The Exercise For Life Method here (just make sure to add the Brain Health Secrets course to your order at checkout)!

Today, we want to give you the 10,000 foot overview of what you need to do with your workouts to get the first of these benefits – regrowing areas of your brain that naturally shrink with age.

The research is very clear that exercise can be extremely effective at helping your brain to grow. In fact, exercise is one of the few things that can stimulate the growth of brand new neurons within your brain.

Both aerobic exercise and resistance training have been shown to increase brain volume, largely through increasing the levels of a specific protein called BDNF, which has been called “Miracle-Gro® for the brain”.

Here’s what we know about exercise and BDNF – the more intensely you exercise, the more frequently you exercise, and the longer you exercise for, the higher your levels of BDNF become.

While low intensity exercise, such as walking, done every day for longer periods of time has been shown to increase brain volume, moderate- and higher-intensity exercise have been shown to completely negate the effects of aging on brain volume.

Not only that, but resistance training intensely at least twice per week has also been shown to help combat the loss of brain volume with age.

Here’s the thing with all of this, though – these results became significant only when people were exercising consistently for at least 12 months.

Changing your brain is not a short-term game.

You have to be thinking about this in terms of years, not weeks, days, or hours.

This means that it is of the utmost importance to not only be exercising, but to be exercising in a way that you can keep coming back to day after day, year after year.

That is exactly what we teach you how to do within every workout in the Exercise For Life Membership.

If you are struggling to stay consistent with your workouts and find yourself exercising fewer than four days a week, the Exercise For Life Membership can completely change that.

Every workout within the membership is designed to set you up to come back and workout again the next day, which means instead of having to take days (or weeks) off after you workout because of how your body feels, you will actually be MORE ready to come back and workout the next day after doing the workouts in the Exercise For Life Membership.

If you’d like to try them out for free, you can get full access to all of the programs right now for $0.00 for the next 30 days. Just click here to get started!

Your brain health matters, and if there is one thing to make sure you are doing to help protect and strengthen your brain, it is exercise. But, you need to make sure you are exercising consistently and are able to do it long term. That’s exactly what we teach you to do within the Exercise For Life Membership.

If you’d like to learn more about this topic of brain health and exercise, we cover it in detail in our book The Exercise For Life Method. You can get your copy for free (just cover S&H) by clicking here.

In strength and health,
