Where To Set The Handles On The Chest Press Machine

This month on Trainer Tip Tuesday we will be discussing how to properly use the chest press machine and make sure you are being safe and effective while doing so. The chest press machine is one of the most effective tools for building the strength and function of your chest and shoulder muscles, but you need to make sure that it is being used correctly in order to minimize potential risks. Today, we want to talk to you about where you should set the handles before you begin using this machine.

We often see people trying to set the handles as far back as the machine will allow, but this can be extremely stressful on the shoulder and chest muscles as well as on the shoulder joints. Fortunately, there is a simple trick that will allow you to match the machine to your body every time you use it.

We share this trick so you can start using it during your next workout to help keep your shoulders safe. And because you will be less likely to injure yourself, the results you get from this exercise will likely dramatically improve, as well!

Check out all of the details in this week’s episode of Trainer Tip Tuesday, and be sure to tune back in next week as we discuss another consideration when using the chest press machine.
