2-Minute Tuesdays

Spring Break Vacation – Exercise the right way to prepare for your trip!

Welcome back to this week’s edition of 2-Minute Tuesdays where we are talking about one exercise topic for two minutes and giving you three reasons why you should follow our advice.  Now this week, we are talking to those of you who are preparing for a Spring Break trip. How can you start exercising now to make sure your body is appropriately prepared for your Spring Break vacation?

1) Take Care Of Your Aches & Pains

Exercise Tip Number One To Prepare For Spring Break:  Start taking care of any aches and pains you feel now before you start getting that bug to exercise to lose weight and work on your six-pack.  Often times, a lot of us have mechanical issues, things that are chronically tight and achy in our body, that we just put on the wayside. These can really start to flair up when you start exercising.  Start to consider getting those aches and pains taken care of before you start exercising.

Action Step:  When was the last time you had your muscles tuned up?  Find a certified MAT® specialist in your area here and connect with them to make sure your body is good to go!  Not sure what MAT® is? Download our free eBook on MAT® here!

2) Don’t Go Crazy At The Gym

Exercise Tip Number Two To Prepare For Spring Break:  Don’t go crazy at the gym. So often, when people have a goal to get to a certain physique in just a few weeks’ time, they decide to go nuts when they are at the gym.  The problem with that is if you aren’t used to working out intensely, doing so can cause more harm than good. Because your body isn’t prepared to workout intensely, it may be more susceptible to injury.  So, reduce the likelihood you get injured while working out by cutting back on the intensity at the gym.

Action Step:  Not sure what to do when you start working out?  Enroll in our Virtual Membership Program to get an exercise plan that is customized for your body!

3) Focus On Your Resistance Training & Nutrition

Exercise Tip Number Three To Prepare For Spring Break:  Make sure you are focusing on doing resistance training and your nutrition.  A lot of times, losing weight and getting fit is associated with doing cardio.  However, resistance training and managing your nutrition are the two things that will give you the look you are going after.

Action Step:  Find a nutritionist in your area to start working with after you have enrolled in our Virtual Membership Program.  That way, your resistance training and nutrition are on point!
