Trainer Tip Tuesday

What To Do If Bicycles Bother Your Back

This month on Trainer Tip Tuesday we will be discussing considerations when you are doing the bicycle exercise for your abs. The bicycle exercise can be one of the best ways to target your abs and strengthen and tone your core muscles. However, there are some things to keep in mind to make sure you get the results you desire from this exercise.

The bicycle exercise is one of the most incorrectly performed exercises in many box gyms. While many gym-goers will perform this exercise fast with very little effect on their abs, there are some keys you need to stay on the lookout for in order to make sure this exercise is not only safe on your low back, but also gives you the results you want.

When doing this exercise, you may notice that your low back starts to feel bothered. This is a common response that can indicate that how you are doing the exercise needs to change. With some very simple tweaks, you can get back to doing this exercise in a way that not only strengthens your abs, but feels good on your low back while you are doing it, too.

Check out all of the details in this week’s episode of Trainer Tip Tuesday, and be sure to tune back in next week as we discuss more considerations when doing bicycles for your abs.
