Client Testimonial – Cindy Chabowski

Check out this fantastic testimonial from Cindy, one of Julie’s rock star personal training clients!  Cindy has been working with Julie for the past three months and has noticed some drastic changes in her body.  She describes the challenges she faced while trying to exercise once she turned 50 and how Julie has helped her with those.  She speaks to the importance of lifting weights in a mindful manner and not just doing cardio to support her health.  She also talks about how the strength training she has done with Julie has helped her joints feel better and has improved her self-confidence.

“I had quit working out about two years ago because once I turned 50, it seemed that lifting weights was causing pain in my elbows and some of my other joints, so I would do a little bit of cardio and that was about it.  Then I met Julie and she said, ‘Let’s give this a try.’  I said, ‘Alright,’ and I was very doubtful.  But, I have been training with Julie now for about three or four months, once or twice a week, and I have had amazing results.

“Not only have I lost a little weight, which I wasn’t really trying to do–that’s a plus–but I don’t have any pain in any joints any longer when I workout.  Everything is real focused, and I like that.  I feel really good when I leave.  Sometimes I come in and I feel really stressed out or don’t really feel like working out.  After training with Julie for about 45 to 50 minutes, it’s like, ‘Wow!  I really feel really good!’.

“It has been amazing and I would totally recommend anyone that is having any kind of problems to at least give it a try because you’ll get hooked.  Trust me.  It has been really beneficial.  I have gained muscle tone back that I thought was never going to come back again.  That’s really good, especially once you get to be close to my age.  So not only do I feel good inside and am feeling more confident, but I am starting to feel like I look better now as well, and that is a big plus.”
