Basketball Players – Why You Need Your Muscles Functioning Optimally

Basketball Players–how often do you work on improving the function of your muscles?

The answer from post players is, “Never.”

You work on your skills. You work on your conditioning. You work on your strength and athleticism.

But you likely never work on improving the thing that is the driver behind all of that–the function of your muscles.

Your muscle function influences so much about your game. It influences how strong you are; how mobile you are; how quickly you are able to recover from practices, games, and individual workouts; how resilient your body is to stress and injury; and, ultimately, how well you can perform.

If there is one thing that will give you the most bang for your buck in terms of improving your overall performance, it is improving the function of your muscles.

So how do you improve the function of your muscles?

Bar none, the single best thing you can do to improve the function of your muscles is Muscle Activation Techniques®, or MAT®.

Through the MAT® process, your practitioner will be able to identify which of your muscles is not functioning as well as they should and then get them functioning better. For you, this means your muscles will be stronger; your joints will move better; your body will be more resilient to injury; and you will be able to recover faster between workouts, practices, and games.

In other words, you will give your body the best opportunity to perform as well as it can day in and day out.

At Muscle Activation Schaumburg, we have the most highly-certified MAT® practitioners in the Chicago area. We are fully certified in the MATRx process, in addition to the MATRx Stim process as well as the MAT® Athlete process.

We work with many high-level basketball players for MAT®, including players in the NBA, G-League, and multiple international professional leagues.

If you have never tried MAT® before, give it a shot. It can completely change how your body feels and functions throughout your season, allowing you to feel and perform your best. It will quickly become that secret weapon all of your teammates will be asking you about.

At the end of the day, making sure your muscles are functioning well is of the utmost importance for your health and performance. Not only will improving your muscle function increase your strength, you will also have more joint mobility, less muscle tightness, be more resilient to injuries and tweaks, and recover faster from games and workouts.

Muscle Activation Techniques® is the number one way to make sure your muscles are functioning as well as they can, allowing you to feel and perform your best on the court.
