Where do you position the back pad on the knee extension machine?

This month on Trainer Tip Tuesday we will be discussing how to properly use the leg extension machine and make sure you are being safe and effective while doing so. The leg extension machine can be an integral part of your exercise plan, but you need to make sure that it is being used correctly in order to minimize potential risks. Today, we want to talk to you about the back pad and how to know where to set it to properly fit the machine to your body.

Most people using the leg extension machine position the back pad wherever they feel comfortable, which isn’t a bad thing. However, there are some specific tips you can use to dial in exactly where to place the back pad that will minimize the risk of weird stresses on your joints while you are doing the exercise.

We have some considerations we recommend you taking if you are wanting to use a leg extension machine, as well as some ways to troubleshoot potential issues that may come up with your knees when doing this exercise.

Check out all of the details in this week’s episode of Trainer Tip Tuesday, and be sure to tune back in next week as we discuss another aspect to consider when using the leg extension machine.
