Working with a personal trainer at Muscle Activation Schaumburg is unlike any personal training session you have experienced.  First and foremost, our goal is to get you to your goal.  How we do this is what sets us apart.

We understand that the most important thing when it comes to exercise is to improve the function of your body.  We know that for exercise to increase any health goal, it must improve the function of your body.  This includes decreasing the prevalence of joint issues, muscle problems, or the exacerbation of any other chronic health condition.

Exercise should promote health and not degrade any part of it.  This is why we  not only commonly work with regular exercisers, but also with individuals that find it difficult to exercise in a traditional way.

We have developed our skills by studying anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and physics.  One of our core educational systems is a program called the Resistance Training Specialist™ (RTS™).  An RTS™ personal trainer understands how to create exercise sessions completely around the client’s goals and the client’s current anatomy.  This is crucial when creating exercises that promote health for the long term.

When working with an RTS™ personal trainer, it is all about the “who”:

  • Who is the client you are working with?
  • What capabilities do they have?
  • What limitations do they have?
  • How does their structure (bones, ligaments, cartilage) deviate from the normative model?
  • What goals are they wanting to achieve?
  • What are their likes and dislikes?
  • How can we most appropriately progress them to help them achieve thier goals?

The RTS™ personal trainer understands the physics and mechancis of each exercise and how to have you do an exercise appropriately for YOU and YOUR BODY.

There is no one-size-fits-all with exercise nor is there a “best” exercise that everybody must do.
